Luck (also called fortuity) is a chance happening, or that which happens beyond a person's control. Luck can be good or bad (as in; Good fortune or misfortune)(Wikipedia, [link] )
Everyone has a lucky day where it can range from meeting someone that you might share the rest of your life with to even winning the lottery. Then everyone has their unlucky days or Bad Luck. Where you could stub your toe or dog runs away. Though we wish the misfortune wouldn’t come around, it happens. Most people take luck too lightly as others take it to the extreme, and for now I am going to tell you what happen and let you see it through your eyes.
As from the previous journal entries you know that I am trying to get in the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Graphic Design. I went through every in and out to get in but it came down to a co signer, and no one could or would co-sign. So they wanted me to start as taking one class at a time making payments by the month. Yes, I could of done it that way but it would have taken longer plus is felt odd doing it that way. So I decided to wait till at least my fiancé was done with his classes and go from there.
Continuing after getting discourage with the school situation I got ill and it started to get really take effect last Friday. I slept all weekend as much as I could. I tried eating but couldn’t hold anything down and was getting really pale. I survived off of Halls cough drops and tea till Wednesday when my supervisor told me to go home to work on getting better. I was shocked she let me go home and decided to go get checked out by the doctor.
Wednesday just kept on getting unusual for me. I was able to remember my home phone number and my Social Security Number without looking up. The doctor said I had 99.8 temp, ear infections in both ears, and my throat was raw. So my doctor gave me a prescription for my nausea and my ear infections. Oddly everything went smoothly and it wasn’t a hassle like I thought it would be.
So still on Wednesday, I still haven’t eaten anything and my fiancé picked up soup from Safeway so we can eat it when we got home after picking up the medication from CVS. Oddly for some reason he didn’t want to go to CVS, But I reminded him that I needed the medication to hold something in my stomach. So he agreed and got my medication and a Popsicle. After eating the Popsicle I fell asleep in the car.
The car then jerked to stop; “DAMN IT” my fiancé yelled as I sat up and saw about 10 seconds before our car rear ended a red Ford Ranger. I was thrown back down in the seat that I was laying down in. Everything from the back seat was thrown forward. I saw nothing but my hood of the car folded up like a curtain preventing me to see anything through my car windshield, a shock that it didn’t even crack. I looked at my fiancé and asked him if he was alright, and he asked me the same and apologize for ruining our day.
Things happen it is ok.
As for the accident I think only two cars were involved mine and the truck, but my ears caught other words such as the driver in the truck was being break checked by the car in front of him so he decided to hit the car and then we hit the truck. And people please don’t be ignorant like this drive and go out in the middle of the highway and not check if others are ok. The driver of the truck was put in hand cuffs. And again we weren’t notified as what was going on.

And this Wednesday just keeps getting better, my sister called me during the accident out of the blue, along with a call from an Art Institute from Las Vegas. Everyone from my work knew I got in an accident and some almost caused another accident to check to see if I was ok. Then thinking about it now, I might have been too calm about everything that happen that day.
Thursday, I went to work even though my voice was starting to go because I was sick. All my co-workers stopped and asked Ashley are you ok. I just nodded and explain what happen. My supervisor wanted to send me home again because I was still sick but I refused because I was feeling better just a bit sore. I made it through the day my nose did bleed a couple times. I really think I brought everyone back to real world to who I am.
The phone call, ‘Your car is a total loss’, this was good and bad news. I liked my car and had only 2,000 left to pay on it and it would be mine, but we were finding things that weren’t pointed out before that would cost a lot to fix. So we just relaxed trying to figure out what we are going to do next.

Friday, I called off work cause my voice was breaking and I had to yell to talk.
